Since over 45 years already, the mission of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde in Luxembourg is to inform the public, raise funds, educate on development matters and lobby for child rights. SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde is member of the worldwide federation SOS Children’s Villages International, dedicated to defend child rights and care for children who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care. About 1 million children and youth in 137 countries and territories benefit of SOS programmes in alternative care, education, community development and emergency response. In 2020, SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde in Luxembourg supported 24 projects in 15 countries for more than 48,000 beneficiaries, thus helping vulnerable children shape their own future.
